Overcoming Your F.E.A.R.
Have you ever let fear get in the way of achieving your goals? I am sure that you have, and if you haven't, you are lying to yourself! In general, most of us do things to avoid pain, or to gain pleasure. When we let fear enter into the equation, the pain we associate with our fear often becomes the catalyst that prevents us from taking action. And, since most of the time our fears are not real but self created, they can become a huge obstacle that prevents us from achieving the results we want.
Here are a couple of tips to remove the roadblock called fear:
F - Focus
Ask yourself where your focus is. Are you focusing on your fear and what can go wrong, or are you focusing on the end result you want to create? Keep in mind that when you focus on the end result, your fear usually takes a back seat by default.
E - Energy
Check your energy level. Is it low and negative? If it is, you are focused on your fears, and making them reality. Ask yourself what is positive about the result that you want to create, thus leveraging your positive energy. Again, focus on the result, what is positive about it, and let your positive energy create a vaccuum that pulls you forward.
A - Action
The one thing that kills fear dead in its tracks is action. Often times, our fears are huge in our mind, but small in reality. Leverage your focus, tap into your high, positive energy, and then build instant momentum by taking action immediately!
R - Results
Once you have taken action, you will create results by default. Once you have created a result, no matter how small it is, ask yourself if you are moving closer to your goal, or further away. Then, make the necessary changes, and take further action. By building on small wins, your momentum will build, and you will blow through your fears without any problems!
