Growing Your Business Through Power Partnerships

One of the most effective and under utilized ways to grow your small business is through power partnerships. Power partners provide a win-win opportunity to grow your business, as well as your partner's business. It's also a great way to leverage your time and resources in an exponential way. Here are a couple keys to a great power partnership:

1. Chose Your Partners Well

Chose a partner that compliments your business and focuses on your target market. Make sure that you and your partner are on the same page and will both benefit from the partnership. Additionally, make sure that your partner is highly motivated to grow his business, as well as yours.

2. Have a Written Plan

Make sure that you have a written plan to ensure that everyone is on the same page, goals and objectives are clearly stated, and that action items are assigned.

Videos on social media and websites get exponentially more clicks than any other types of marketing, and can be the most effective way to drive traffic to your website. Since it’s now super easy to create videos that look great even off of your cell phone, this is a no brainer and a must if you want to compete in 2014. Since 80% of people go to the web when they are looking for a product or service, you need to tap into this trend, or your customers soon won’t be able to find you online.

3. Evaluate the Results and Revise Your Plan

Make sure that you evaluate the results of your actions on a regular basis. Are both parties benefiting? Are you generating a good return on your partnership? If not, change your plan and move forward accordingly. Power partnerships are a great way to leverage your time and resources to create exponential results. If done correctly and with the right partner, they can be very rewarding for both partners.
