Get Rid Of If And When Thinking
Do you ever find yourself making statements like, "If I get this job, then I will be happy?", or, "When I win the lottery, then my life will be great?" If you do, chances are you are living your life in the future. Or perhaps you like to live in the past, making statements like, "If things were only like they use to be". Living in the past or future is an easy trap to get caught in, and can be very disempowering.
By steering your focus away from the present, you are unable to enjoy what we are doing now. Additionally, if you are focusing on future results, then you are distracting yourself from applying 100% of your focus on the activities you need to be doing now to move yourself forward.
By removing if and when from your vocabulary, you can keep your focus on the present, and enjoy what you are doing right now. Additionally, by detaching from future results, you can apply your focus on the present, and enjoy the process of taking action to create the results you are committed to!
