Building Your Business In 5 Minutes A Day!
I’m going to let you in on a little secret. If I told you that you could build massive amounts of referrals for your business in 5 minutes a day, right from the comfort of your home office, would you be interested? Would you like to know how?
I’m about to show you a way that you can create 520 great relationships with potential clients and referral partners simply by following a simple process that will literally take you 5 minutes a day!
Here’s my secret:
Step #1 – Introducing Two People You Already Know
The first step in the process is to think about two people that you already know that you think might benefit from knowing each other, either personally or professionally. Then what you do is simply send them an e-mail introducing them. For example: Jim meet John, John meet Jim! Jim, John is a good friend of mine that is a realtor. I know that you and your wife are thinking about moving, so I thought John might be a good person for you to know. He’s great at what he does, and he has helped a bunch of people I know with their real estate transactions. John, Jim is a good friend of mine that might be in the market for a good realtor. I think you two will get along well, and you might even be able to do some business together. I’ve included both of your contact information below. Good luck!
Step #2 – Send Them Both A Hand Written Card A Week Later
After I have made the introduction, I send them both a hand-written card one week later, saying something like this: Jim- I hope you’ve had the opportunity to speak with John. He’s a great guy, and I know you will benefit from knowing him. You’ll have to let me know how it goes. If you ever need a good business coach, or you know someone that does, please don’t hesitate to give me a call! Thanks- Tom
Step #3 – Make It a Daily Habit
I simply use this process everyday. In a week, I have introduced 10 people, and in a year, 520. I want you to think about the power of this! By introducing and helping 520 people a year, you have successfully added value for them, and if you believe in the adage that “givers gain”, you’ll have all the new business and referrals that you can handle!
Step #4 – Systematize The Process
The best way to ensure that you will follow through on this process on a daily basis is to systematize it, so that it’s simple and easy to repeat. I use a card system that I highly recommend called Send Out Cards. Send Out Cards is a great online system that merges technology with traditional hand-written cards and is very quick and cost effective. If you’d like to learn more about the system, and try it for free, you can learn more here: www.sendoutcards.com.
It’s great for the system I use to introduce people, as well as sending out birthday cards, holiday cards, thank you notes, and any other cards you might send to clients or people you know personally!
If you get in the habit of following this system on a daily basis, over time you’ll have all the referrals you can handle, and never have to attend a networking meeting again!
